The Barbican

The Brief was to create a set of theatre poster for the Barbican. We were given three Shakespeare plays: The Merchant of Venice, The Tempest and A Midsummer Nights Dream.

As well as being able to stand alone you had to create an identity so it was clear they were from the same series of performances. I made them connect in any order by using the typography. I treated the poster as a metaphor for the stage. As with the stage there are things happening in the wings; you get a hint of this in the typography.
